OUR WORK

OUR GARDENS are unique to the site based on your needs and a cohesive design plan. With extensive training and practice in horticulture, we work with the awareness that we are introducing a new community of plants into an existing ecology. We make plant selections informed by ecological conditions and in harmony with the surrounding landscape.

We often design bespoke features for your landscape such as custom gates, pergolas, and masonry. This work is skillfully executed under our close supervision by trusted craftsmen and contractors in your area. When it comes to realizing a design, we believe that execution is everything.

DESIGN PROCESS

A new landscape is a thoughtful undertaking and we follow a process that allows for a successful and pleasing outcome.

A CONSULTATION begins with a conversation discussing your background, preferences and how you envision using the space around your home. We walk through your property together and share initial thoughts and ideas for transforming your outdoor space. Our visit is documented and followed up with a summary of our conversation along with any new ideas.

THE DESIGN PHASE kicks off with a signed contract, then a series of visits during which we undergo a thorough Site Analysis. We observe light and soil conditions, geological features, the ecology of your area, and the existing architecture and landscape is mapped out.

Informed by our analysis, we begin a conceptual process during which we exchange ideas and images with you and agree on a design direction. This direction becomes a cohesive design theme which guides our plan.

Within several weeks, the design plan is presented. We draft an architectural schematic mapping out your entire landscape. Each plant is listed along with imagery and 3D renderings are presented if built structures are involved.

ESTIMATING begins after final design approval. We then generate a proposal for the areas of your design that you would like to move forward with.

INSTALLATION

Once the proposal is approved, we schedule your installation. To ensure the best execution, we work with trusted contractors which we closely supervise. Built features and hardscape are installed, after which the gardens are planted with our contracted landscape crew.

Your installed landscape may involve a Lighting or Irrigation Plan and we work in tandem with contractors to provide this service. We will also guide you in properly maintaining your gardens and be involved with the continual beautification of your landscape if you request this.
